About

Welcome!

Life is filled with so many interesting things.  As in the phrase ‘so many books … so little time’, so it is with crafts, hobbies, people to meet, places to go, things to learn.  Oh, and books to write.  So many, many books aching to be brought to life.

The set of 1934 quilt squares I found at a yard sale several years ago are taking a lot of my time, now that I’ve discovered tidbits and information about so many of the quilters.  The small town of Athelstan, Iowa (now defunct) was the setting for these ladies and young girls as they made their squares for Doris’ gift.  Subscribe to the blog, or like our Facebook page to learn more about my “adopted fabric family” as I learn more.

But most of all …. CELEBRATE LIFE!  Hence, the “A Reason to … Celebrate, Remember, Have Fun!’ posts.  Life should be celebrated and enjoyed to the fullest.  There is only one.  Here’s some celebrations to help jumpstart celebrations in your family … some average, some zany.  Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping to say ‘Hi!’

Theres a small cemetery, probably under 10 graves, it is in the median between I30 and the I30 frontage road between Sulphur Springs, TX and Mount Vernon Texas. I’ve always wondered about it, who it is that’s buried right there next to the interstate. If you have someone who can Investigate.

That’s fascinating! Right now I can’t get away from home. I’m a full time caregiver for my better half that can’t walk right now. So I can’t get out to research anything, but I’ll see if I can find something out in online searches.
