Tuesday, October 2nd: Kids and reading; what a combination! October is CHILDREN’S MAGAZINE MONTH. This month of magazines is sponsored by The Magazine Publishers Family Literacy Project to raise awareness of and create interest in children’s magazines.
Celebrating CHILDREN’S MAGAZINE MONTH is right up my alley today. I’m celebrating my first children’s story publication. Guardian Angel Kid’s is a children’s e-zine (magazines of the new technology). Check out their magazine for an array of children’s reading. The October theme is Historical Truth or Fiction? (While you’re there, visit my story, Sarah’s Journey, on pages 10-12. http://guardian-angel-kids.com/10-012-3Dflipbook/index.html.)
The Magazine Publishers Family Literacy Project goal is to inspire consumers, businesses, and groups to support community literacy priorities by donating new and recycled magazines, funds, and volunteer time to share the wonderful magazines we love with at-risk children and families. Stop by and visit their organization: http://magazineliteracy.org/
And if you have any children’s magazines you can pass along … celebrate and share the wealth!
