SENIOR CITIZENS’ DAY

Tuesday, August 21st: Celebrate the wisdom and maturity of age, it’s SENIOR CITIZENS’ DAY. Honor the senior citizens in your life today. Take your grandparents, or parents, to lunch or dinner, if you live close. If they’re far away, give them a call and tell them that you love them. Do you have an elderly neighbor that doesn’t get out much? Can you run an errand for them? Drop off a home baked meal or dessert? Mow a lawn or trim some trees?

President Ronald Reagan proclaimed August 21st Senior Citizens Day in 1988. Keep the tradition alive, honor the elderly in your life.

Trisha, I am getting plenty of my elderly fix – taking care of an elderly neighbor of my in-laws. Some days I love, others days are challenging. And no time to write ;0(

Ahhhhh, but in these kind deeds, you’re also celebrating today (Aug 22nd, Be an Angel Day). Yes, some days may be challenging and your writing may be taking a back seat … but sometimes being a human angel takes priority for a short period.
      Hugs to you!
