Friday, August 10th: You get a graham cracker and you break it in two … Today is NATIONAL S’MORES DAY. Between Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and family camping trips, I think most people know S’more Basics. Break a graham cracker in two. Place some Hershey’s chocolate on one side. Toast a marshmallow. Place the marshmallow on the chocolate, top with the other graham cracker piece and devour.
For s’more ideas, with a mix of s’more history, check out my favorite food blog – Months of Edible Celebrations. http://monthsofediblecelebrations.blogspot.com/2011/08/happy-smores-day.html
Here’s one more s’more to try out, a s’more with fresh raspberries. Yum, I’ll have to try this one to celebrate the day. http://www.recipegirl.com/2011/07/18/raspberry-smores/
